Once upon a time, in a cozy little village, there lived a kind-hearted farmer. He was known far and wide for his gentle nature and green thumb.
One season he decided to try growing something special — Ash gourd!
Seasons passed, and Farmer’s hard work paid off! His Ash gourd vines flourished, and before long, there stood the most gigantic Ash gourd anyone had ever seen — big enough to fill a whole cart!
The farmer was delighted about this.
But alas, one morning, the farmer found that his prized Ash gourd had been stolen! His heart sank at the sight of the empty patch where it once proudly sat.
To solve the mystery, the farmer sought the help of the wise head of the village.
The head of the village listened to the farmer’s story and nodded. “Fear not, Mr. Farmer. he said with a reassuring smile. “I have a plan!”
Together, they gathered all the villagers in the village square. The head of the village explained the situation to the villagers.
“The thief,” he announced, “will surely have traces of ash on their shoulder from carrying away such a hefty gourd! Let us look at everyone’s shoulders to find the culprit!”
The villagers started whispering to each other’s ears and looking around. And among the crowd, a guilty-looking man was spotted quickly trying to brush away the ash from his shoulder.
The head of the village, with a keen eye, quickly identified the thief, much to the surprise of the villagers.
As punishment, the thief had to make amends by helping the farmer tend to his garden and learn the value of hard work and honesty.
